Top Gear – killing a Toyota pt 1 – BBC
BBCWorldwide asked:
The Top Gear team attempt to destroy a Toyota pick up truck. Are they successful? Find out in this free automobile clip from BBC Worldwide.

-8° Fahrenheit will easily kill this Toyota. Because it is a Diesel. But surviving fire it definitely is the perfect car for suburban Paris in France.
I love this show! They turn seemingly bland automotives into pure poetry. I was also glad to hear some Boards of Canada at 2:02.

Love the music.
Diesel engine,Manual transmission, Not really the truck.A diesel engine doesn’t even need the rest of the truck to run just fuel and oil turn it over and it’s running.Any truck with that combination will do this.Funny however, when he drops the truck you can hear it blow the tire on the back side of the truck but he doesn’t mention that in the end.Maybe it was just the bead.
lol Yep ! Could also pull the nozzles but thats a bit more work And some vehicles have the glow plugs in a pre-combustion chamber which will help.. but still risky.
But ( in theory here ) if it were a gasser then pulling all the spark plugs and cranking the engine over makes a great water gun…. for a second or two. Then Change oil and good to go !
personally u baby’d that car.. i mean if u drop a camber on it.. of course its gonna drive away.. ffs what idiots..
haha i had an ‘89 been around australia twice
thing still refuses to die
190,000 miles lol, only 10 of them used on repairs
yay.. someone that knows about cars ^_^
although glow plugs do the same job, they arent the same thing
stupid bbc videos wont let u change time on the time bar.. have watch all 10 mins again cus i missed the last bit!
First of all Diesels don’t have spark plugs… so that doesn;t work ! If you attempt to start the engine with the cylinders filled with water you’ll damage it.. and good luck trying to crank the motor over after… bent rods don’t like to rotate. And I said in a confined space so obviously if you make an opening then it’s not a confined space anymore and even then .. your not compressing the liquid… your displacing it in the cylinder…

Yes, but if you remove the spark-plugs the water will eventually evaquate thru the holes.
