James sets about putting the Toyota to a final destructive test on this free episode of BBC’s Top Gear.

Try this with a Ford F150 and a Chevy Pickup. They could survive this, too.
woah, I just figured out why they named it HiLux
High Lux
(lux=measure of light intensity)

TOYOTA & Japanese cars in general NEED no prove to show how reliable these cars are..

Well, I want a HiLux now, not cuz my driving sucks, but it looks great and can handle anything, can have a car like this for a whole lifetime
errr…how do you know Ford F series are the best sellers? Just wanna know.
well said
maybe they should do the same tests with a different car
wow, that’s living proof of why to buy a toyota…i doubt any highend car would take tht punishment.
Great show Great car!
No i know Toyota is Japanese.. my point was people assume that the Germans have a monopoly on the best most reliable family cars
lol
why do 2 people think toyota is from germany? JAPAN! Mr. Toyota, where the **** do you live?!?!?
holy **** it servived!
With the torque you can get out of a diesel? Who says you can’t have a sporty diesel truck?
nope. the only thing that would possibly survive is maybe a ranger… or a ram. but thats doubtful.
Rangers, Tacomas and Colorados would be fine, but Dakotas are sport trucks. They are meant to be fast trucks, not “puts up with anything” trucks.
I want to take it to jiffy lube and ask for an oil change and see what they say.
Toyotas from Japan…-_-
